Four independent providers offer shared cars in Rhineland-Palatinate and two companies in Saarland. Car-sharing systems, registration and payment differ among the cities covered and formulas selected:

e-Mobile in the Saarland
e-Mobile Saar is a research project that lets you borrow electric car-sharing vehicles. They are parked in bus or train stations within the saarVV network.
“Mobilitätskarte", the annual subscription to the public transport network of saarVV or the subscription to Flinkster of the Deutsche Bahn allow you to book an electric car online at www.e-mobil-saar.de and to pick it up it at the selected car park.
